In November 2009, the project was presented to CPLP through an audience with Eng. Domingos Simões, CPLP Executive Secretary at the time.
Upon meeting people who shared the same ideal, the first Miss CPLP Contest was scheduled for July 21, 2012, scheduled for the Multiusos de Odivelas Pavilion. However, due to situations of various orders outside the Organization’s will, the event was only held on February 17, 2013, thanks to the institutional, public and private support that was achieved at that time.
