Miss Africa Golden is an Pan African beauty pageant, founded in 2018 by Sapphire Obi Ogodo.

 

The current Miss Africa is Kina Marceline Manga from Sénégal, crowned on December 2, 2023 in Asaba, Nigeria

HISTORY

Miss Africa Golden is an inclusive, global beauty pageant created in 2018 to empower young women of Africa Descent regardless of race.

 

The pageant also looks to promote originality, culture, and Tourism on the African continent.

 

The inaugural pageant was held on December 7, 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria. It saw Violet Ejiata representing Ethiopia emerged as the first winner of Miss Africa Golden out of other contestants from 20 African countries that battled for the crown.

This beauty pageant is open to young women of African descent aged 18 to 27 with a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches.

 

The delegates are evaluated according to several criteria :

    • Swimsuit Parade
    • Traditional Outfits Parade
    • Evening Gown Parade

 

During the final, the runners-up were awarded with the titles :

    • Miss Africa Golden Universe
    • Miss Africa Golden International
    • Miss Africa Golden Tourism
    • Miss Africa Golden Ecowas
